After 27 years of music, vibrant culture, and cherished experiences, the MELT Festival is set to host its grand finale from July 11 to 13, 2024.

The decision to conclude this enduring event stems from irreversible changes in the festival landscape. The organizers believe these changes are incompatible with the principles that underpin MELT.

Florian Czok, Director of the MELT Festival, stated, “Despite our commitment and efforts in recent years, we recognize that the original MELT is no longer current and cannot withstand the developments of recent years without radically altering the festival concept. It is a difficult decision, but we believe it is time to explore new paths and create space for fresh ideas.”

To honor its illustrious past, the MELT Festival’s farewell will be filled with surprises, designed to captivate fans one last time. The final edition will feature over 120 artists, including Marcel Dettmann, Honey Dijon, Helena Hauff, Bonobo, ANOTR, Sampha, James Blake, Jayda G, Eris Drew, Sugababes, DJ Koze, Romy, Chase & Status,  Job Jobse, VTSS, Marlon Hoffstadt, Skepta, Overmono, among many others.

Since its launch in 1997 and its permanent establishment in Ferropolis in 1999, the MELT Festival has become a vital part of Germany’s music scene, attracting global audiences annually. Its international recognition is shown by awards like ‘Best Festival’ and ‘Artist’s Favourite European Festival.’ The organizers thank all involved and, while MELT ends, they’re working on new concepts.
