As the first single from her impressive 2023 EP, Mia Moretti’s ‘Tambor’ showcased a fresh direction from the Los Angeles-based DJ/producer and creative as she continues to develop her voice as a producer. Paying homage to legendary Colombian vocalist La Momposina and singers from the Colombian-Caribbean coast, she served up an ode to Afro-Colombian influences and heritage following her travels in South America. After welcoming the likes of DJ Minx, KILIMANJARO and Maloné to remix other tracks from the four-track EP, she once again showcases her talent as an A&R, inviting two new names to Spaghetti Moretti Records in PAUZA and Gio Lucca.
From Havana, Cuba, pairing PAUZA have forged a sound rich in Latin flow and rhythms, delivering releases to date via labels such as Insomniac, Get Physical Music, and Made In Miami, to name a few. Turning their hands to Moretti’s vibrant production, their ‘Bata Remix’ brings a splash of Cuba’s famous sound, harnessing the iconic vocal and crafting a web of rolling percussion and colourful melodies for an explosion of vibrance.
