Sasha returns to Night Time Stories with his latest project ‘Da Vinci Genius,’ the soundtrack for an immersive exhibition celebrating Leonardo da Vinci, the Italian Renaissance polymath. The album is set to release on November 29th, 2024.

This exhibition offers a glimpse into the Italian’s genius mind, showcasing his iconic work through computer-enhanced visuals. Sasha’s music was crafted to support and enhance this visual journey.

“I’ve never written music for a project like this before, so it was really exciting and interesting to work with the show’s designers Flora and Fauna Visions (FFV) on this incredible brief,” the Welsh artist explains.

Sasha drew inspiration from diverse sources: iconic film scores, modern electronic composers, and medieval choral music. He blended these influences with approaches reminiscent of Kubrick and Zimmer to create a distinct soundscape.

Composing without visuals, Sasha relied on FFV’s mood boards, resulting in a novel creative process. The final score is a dreamlike journey, weaving nuanced melodies and emotive timbres throughout compositions like ‘Mosaic,’ ‘Equality,’ and ‘Clouds.’ Only in tracks such as ‘Super Hero (with Sentre)’ and ‘Into The Metaverse’ does Sasha return to more familiar territory.

‘Da Vinci Genius’ debuted in Berlin in 2021 and moved to Amsterdam a year later. The show is set to captivate audiences in Florida, USA, and India at the end of this year.
