AlphaTheta Corporation, the company behind the renowned Pioneer DJ brand, has introduced its latest innovation: the DDJ-FLX2. This beginner-friendly two-channel controller is compatible with popular DJ software like rekordbox DJ, Algoriddim djay, and Serato DJ Lite, enabling mixing on laptops or mobile devices.

The DDJ-FLX2 integrates with major streaming services, giving users access to vast music libraries from platforms such as SoundCloud Go+, TIDAL, Beatport Streaming, and Apple Music. While this feature greatly expands mixing possibilities, it may require additional subscriptions.

For those familiar with AlphaTheta’s previous offerings, the DDJ-FLX2 is a natural progression from the DDJ-200. It maintains a compact, user-friendly design ideal for bedroom DJs and house party enthusiasts while packing essential features for basic mixing. These include responsive jog wheels for precise track control, intuitive cue and play buttons, three-band EQ and gain control for sound shaping, short-throw faders and a crossfader for smooth transitions, and performance pads for creative mixing techniques.

The DDJ-FLX2 improves upon its predecessor with a dedicated 3.5mm output for direct speaker connection and Bluetooth connectivity. These enhancements allow for both wired and wireless control across various devices and speakers, increasing its versatility.

Priced at £159, the DDJ-FLX2 offers excellent value for aspiring DJs. For more details, visit the official AlphaTheta website.
