ANOTR has unveiled their second album ‘On a Trip,’ marking a bold departure from their signature sound. Released today via their No Art imprint, this project blends indie dance, disco, alt-soul, and house music.

The Amsterdam-based producers crafted the album during creative retreats across Ibiza, Los Angeles, and the Netherlands. Using psilocybin mushrooms as a creative catalyst, they broke free from their traditional club-focused house foundations. ANOTR expanded their sound by incorporating live instrumentation and their own vocals for the first time, resulting in tracks like ‘SET IT ON FIRE,’ ‘Care For You,’ and ‘Living in a Dream.’

The LP features collaborations with Grammy-nominated Cimafunk alongside artists PAMÉ, Kurtis Wells, Leven Kali, Tyler Daley, and Erik Bandt.

The project’s origins trace to COVID-era intimate retreats. “We rent a house in the middle of nowhere, surround ourselves with nature, and invite friends, family, and musicians to connect,” the duo explains. “We go for walks, make dinner, and talk a lot. The studio is always there when we feel like it, and the music comes from a place of want, not need.” These organic sessions produced an introspective album exploring self-discovery and connection.

ANOTR continues to expand their No Art label and event series globally, while planning a permanent creative retreat in the Netherlands. This album builds on their 2022 debut ‘The Reset’ and marks a new chapter in their evolution.
