Club Der Visionaere resident Joye Mitarakis has passed away

Joye Mitarakis, a pioneer in Chile and Berlin’s underground electronic scene, has passed away. The DJ, label owner, and curator leaves behind a lasting impact on electronic music.

Club Der Visionaere, a cornerstone of Berlin’s electronic music scene, shared the news through their official social media channels, expressing deep sorrow at the loss of someone who had become an integral part of their community.

Starting in Chile’s electronic scene in the early 2000s at venues like La Feria and Club Del Sol Sunshine, Mitarakis later established himself in Berlin’s nightlife. In 2017, he founded Piros, a record label that released music from global artists including Mario Liberti, Argenis Brito, and Ema Remedi, with its final release by Atree in 2024.

At Club Der Visionaere, he organized memorable events and was remembered for both his technical skills and genuine personality. The community honored his life at Berlin’s Hopetosse on February 2nd, celebrating his impact on connecting musicians across continents.
