Detroit-based artist DJ Holographic has released her debut album, ‘House in the Dark,’ out now via her newly launched label, Through the Veil.
Built around themes of self-discovery and transformation, ‘House in the Dark’ is a 12-track journey shaped by astrology and shadow work—a therapeutic method of exploring and integrating repressed aspects of the self.
The project reimagines afrofuturism through a femme, queer, and conscious lens, tapping into the foundations of Detroit techno while forging a new, emotionally rich path. Musically, the record blends deep house, electro-funk, and cosmic synth work, with each track representing a different zodiac house.
Following performances at Panorama Bar and Pitchfork Music Festival Mexico City, DJ Holographic’s tour schedule includes sets at fabric, Circoloco, and Movement Festival, among others.
