Australian-Chinese DJ and producer Monster Machine has released her debut EP, ‘EXALTED’. The record includes previous singles ‘Rage’, ‘Losing My Mind’, and ‘Hopeless’, alongside the title track, co-produced with Sydney-based artist Arky Waters.
“The final track of my EP is a collaboration with Arky Waters. It’s a graduation of my sound—restrained but cavernous,” says Monster Machine, reflecting the tension and atmosphere that defines the project.
With nods to RL Grime, Nitepunk, and Knock2, Monster Machine’s sound traverses trap, 140, and neurofunk drum & bass. ‘EXALTED’ showcases a raw, dynamic energy rooted in both precision and experimentation. The release follows her recent appearance on Triple J’s Friday Mix with Kailynn Crabb, further amplifying her growing reputation.
The EP was co-written and co-produced by Penny Yang and Thomson Phan, with mixing by Monster Machine and Arky Waters, and mastering by APR Studios. Visuals and artwork were created by Monster Machine and Terry Truong.
