The xx have released a new deluxe edition of their 2009 self-titled debut album, now available digitally.

The updated version includes a set of bonus tracks and reinterpretations, with the band offering fresh takes on Womack and Womack’s ‘Teardrops’, Kyla’s ‘Do You Mind’, and Aaliyah’s ‘Hot Like Fire’. A deluxe vinyl version is also set for release on December 5th, 2025, with pre-orders now open.

Reflecting on the project, the group shared on Instagram: “Going back to 2009 has brought up so many memories – it really does feel like another world. This album means a lot to us, and we hope it still means something to you too. Thank you for being here, always.”

Earlier this year, the UK trio confirmed that they were back in the studio working on a new record. In September, rehearsal clips surfaced following a surprise inclusion in Coachella’s teaser lineup, adding fuel to speculation about a potential return to the stage in 2026.
