Serato has officially rolled out version 4.0 of its DJ software, following extensive feedback from its beta phase.
The update introduces a major redesign of the interface, aiming to improve workflow and enhance performance. Among the key changes are advanced crate customization options, allowing users to organize by alphabetical order, creation date, or custom sorting.
A standout new feature is Spotify Premium integration, enabling Serato DJ Pro and Lite users to access over 100 million tracks directly through the platform. This follows Serato’s recent announcement in collaboration with AlphaTheta, confirming the addition of Spotify support in September.
Further enhancements include flexible layout options, allowing the Prepare, History, and Browse panels to be displayed either vertically or horizontally. The software now also features a Track Rating tool, giving DJs the ability to tag tracks using emojis.
