Sydney-based producer Arky Waters returns with ‘Ay Papi’, his latest single on Mammal Sounds Records. Following October’s release of ‘Holdin’ On’ and the announcement of his debut album set for early 2026, this new track continues to showcase his evolving sonic identity.
Blending classic analog synth emulations with modern techniques, ‘Ay Papi’ delivers an energetic, uplifting groove rooted in electronic nostalgia. Drawing on sounds from Moog emulations and the iconic Korg M1, Arky explores the foundations of his early influences while injecting them with a fresh sense of warmth and clarity.
Speaking about the process, he highlights his focus on the textures and character of older gear, using them to craft a sound that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.
