Kristin Velvet has released her latest EP, ‘Gratitude’, now available through Exit Strategy. The three-track outing blends classic influences with Velvet’s Berlin-honed touch, delivering a personal tribute to the energy that shaped her musical path.

On ‘Gratitude’, Velvet draws from the foundations of ’90s Chicago and Detroit house, presenting a sound that’s both timeless and current. As co-head of Arms & Legs Records alongside Daniel Steinberg, she has long been a fixture of the Berlin club circuit. Her previous releases on Crosstown Rebels and Hot Creations have received global DJ support, affirming her position in the underground scene.

Opening track ‘Stolen Faces’ enters with a darker, hypnotic tone, underpinned by a hip-hop vocal and pared-down synth work. ‘Push’ moves in a more direct fashion, echoing the raw pulse of the dance floors that first drew Velvet into house music. Closing cut ‘Gratitude’ serves as the emotional centerpiece—a thank-you to the dancers and moments that reaffirm her connection to the music.
