Electronic duo Tribu Oro just released their new EP ‘Roots’ via Bulletdodge Records. The digital-only project signals a shift toward a more direct and uptempo sound.
The EP reflects the contrasting backgrounds of founding members Philippe Del Bosque and Michael Rittner, also known as Miklosh. Del Bosque draws from techno and drum and bass influences, while Rittner incorporates elements rooted in punk and acid-focused production.
For the first time in several years, the release does not feature vocals from longtime collaborator Sofia Lorena. Instead, ‘Roots’ centers on percussion-driven arrangements and streamlined electronic structures.
Since Del Bosque relocated to the Netherlands and Belgium, the duo has developed new material through remote collaboration, exchanging ideas across different cities and studio environments.
Formed in Malaga in 2016, Tribu Oro began as a DJ partnership before expanding into production. They have released on Sofa Beats, Shango Records, Aureon Records, and Bulletdodge Records.
