Sound | Escape returns to Kitzbühel for its third edition from Friday, March 20th to Sunday, March 22nd, 2026. Hosted by Kitzbühel Tourism, the three-day event unfolds across 19 venues in the mountain and valley, combining winter sports with electronic music at altitude.
This year’s program features Claptone, Joyce Muniz, Kilimanjaro, Marvin Aloys, Megablast, Steve Hope, Tom Pool, Wolfram, 4Season, Alex Sanchez, Avanoc, The Beateps, Beatkeepers, Constantin Merk, Dan Rubell, Erok, Gregor Fernandez, Grenzwert, Hannes, Joey Daxter, Luóa, Manila Vice, Paz Disco, and Wild Heart. The main highlights include the Kitzbüheler Horn Alpine Stage on Friday and the Hahnenkamm Alpine Stage on Saturday, placing international and Austrian artists side by side across the slopes.
Unlike most Alpine festivals, Sound | Escape is free to attend. Access to mountain venues requires only a valid gondola ticket from Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel. Foot passengers can purchase a daily gondola pass for €20 on selected days, making the event accessible beyond skiers and snowboarders.
After two previous editions featuring Jan Blomqvist in 2024 and Sven Väth in 2025, the festival continues to refine its concept. Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser, Managing Director of Kitzbühel Tourism, commented: “For many years, our businesses have placed a strong focus on electronic music in the mountains. With Sound | Escape, we’ve succeeded in bringing these forces together and connecting our partners on the mountain and in the valley through an innovative concept. We’re very much looking forward to the third edition of this electronic boutique festival at the most beautiful time of the winter season.”
Most venues are reachable on foot from the gondola stations. Once mountain stages close, the program continues in the valley, extending the experience into the evening.
