German producer and live performer Christian Löffler presents his latest contribution to the EG Podcast series with EG.1058, now available on SoundCloud and Mixcloud. The mix arrives alongside the release of his new album, ‘Until We Meet Again,’ out now via Ki Records.
The session reflects the themes behind the record, which was written largely while Löffler was on tour. Moving between piano-led sketches and carefully arranged electronic textures, the mix favors restraint and atmosphere over scale. As Löffler explains: “This mix features a few new tracks from my latest album, ‘Until We Meet Again,’ which is all about encounters with people – both brief and lasting – with whom we form connections. All the other featured tracks also reflect these meetings, ranging from colleagues and friends from my label, Ki Records, to people I’ve met at various stages of life. Each track has been a soundtrack to these encounters”.
Across the mix, Löffler brings together music by Hosini and Jones Meadow, Fhin, DJ Tennis, glittr, Klur and Ole-Bjørn Talstad, Orbit, Andhim, Catching Flies, TWO LANES, Beacon and Helsloot, Henry Green, Saive, pølaroit, and HNNY, alongside his own track ‘Closer (feat. Shallou)’.
There is a disciplined approach at the core of Löffler’s work. His music favors reduction, focusing on space and intention. Ideas often begin at the piano before moving into the electronic space, shaped with vintage machines and long-held instruments. That same approach guides this mix, translating the intimacy of his studio process into a measured session.
