Midnight Pool Party have released their latest single, ‘NOTICE ME’. The new track sees the Australian duo return with a dancefloor-focused production rooted in personal reflection.
Built around their signature disco-leaning grooves, ‘NOTICE ME’ pairs upbeat production with a narrative centered on emotional vulnerability. The single was written toward the end of last year before the duo stepped away for a Christmas break, later returning to refine the song’s lyrical direction.
According to the band, the track took shape once the main hook and theme were established. “After the break, we spent a lot of time talking about the lyrics and finding the right words to capture the emotions of the journey you go through in a certain situation,” they explain.
At its core, the single explores the universal experience of wanting recognition from someone who does not share the same feelings. “Love is universal, but so is the experience of not being noticed, and hiding how deeply it affects you,” the duo add.
The song reflects the internal tension between emotional honesty and self-protection, capturing the moment when someone pretends everything is fine while quietly dealing with their own thoughts and expectations.
