METOODJS has launched a fundraising campaign aimed at providing legal and psychological support to individuals affected by abuse and misconduct in the electronic music industry. The initiative follows the group’s formal structuring as an official association under French law.
What began as an informal, peer-led effort has now evolved into a coordinated network of legal, therapeutic, and media professionals. Since its launch in February, METOODJS reports that nearly 300 testimonies have been collected, reflecting the scale of the issue within the community.
Recent calls for testimony, issued at the request of victims and in response to recurring patterns of alleged misconduct, have helped connect individuals and support legal processes. According to the organisation, these efforts have also enabled some individuals to come forward for the first time.
The fundraiser seeks to remove financial barriers to accessing support, with most funds allocated to legal fees and trauma-informed psychological care. A portion will also be used to cover operational costs, including secure data management and case coordination.
METOODJS has stated it will maintain transparency in how funds are used, while protecting the anonymity of those involved. The organisation also highlighted the importance of media visibility in helping victims access resources and encouraging others to speak out.
