MikeR and Housewyve have joined forces for the release of ‘Barbariga’, a new Afro House single out now via self-release.

The track sees MikeR step outside his usual Progressive House and Melodic Techno focus to explore a different sonic direction. Created in collaboration with Housewyve, the project also carries a personal dimension, reflecting a shared creative connection between the two artists.

Built around chord-driven piano motifs and a soulful female vocal, ‘Barbariga’ unfolds through layered rhythms and steady grooves. The arrangement develops with rolling basslines, percussive detail, and evolving synth work, moving between breakdowns and more energetic passages while maintaining a clear rhythmic focus.

The release also highlights MikeR’s broader artistic direction, shaped by early influences and his ongoing work toward defining his sound. While this track leans into Afro House, his approach continues to center on combining melodic structure with dancefloor-driven energy.
