Prins Thomas has released a new remix package of FSQ, Moniquea, and XL Middleton’s ‘Feeling Wide’ via Soul Clap Records. The release features three distinct versions of the track, which originally appeared in late 2025.
The EP centers on the Diskomiks version, where the Norwegian space-disco pioneer reinterprets the original’s new wave foundation. The package also includes a Diskodub and an Instrumental version, shifting the initial punk-funk energy toward a mid-tempo, Balearic-inspired groove.
Thomas utilizes rhythmic claps, echoed low-ends, and layered melodic chords to create a spacious atmosphere. While the original version focused on gritty riffs and 80s-inspired vocals, these remixes emphasize a stripped-back, cosmic aesthetic suited for late-night sets.
Prins Thomas, founder of the Full Pupp and Internasjonal labels, is a central figure in the “Oslo Disco” scene. FSQ is a New York-based collective known for live-instrumentation funk, frequently collaborating with West Coast boogie mainstays like XL Middleton and Moniquea.
