David Shaw And The Beat has released a new remix of the single ‘Open Wide,’ reworked by Parisian composer Hyperstellar. The track is now available via the Her Majesty’s Ship label.

This collaboration sees Hyperstellar reinterpreting the original work, which was a standout piece from Shaw’s recent album cycle. While the original version leaned into a high-energy club aesthetic, this new version focuses on deconstructing the track’s structure to create a different atmosphere.

The remix moves away from the driving acid and goth-punk influences of the source material. Instead, Hyperstellar utilizes abstract arrangements and turbulent synth layers to shift the composition toward a more psychological and mental space.

David Shaw, a Manchester-born artist known for his work with DBFC and collaborations with Vitalic and Jennifer Cardini, has established a reputation for blending industrial and synth-rock elements. Hyperstellar joins the project following previous releases on International Deejay Gigolo Records and work with Hans Zimmer’s Bleeding Fingers Music.

David Shaw And The Beat – Open Wide (Hyperstellar Remix) is available now. Stream and download here.
