John Summit has released his debut album, ‘CTRL ESCAPE’, out now via Experts Only and Darkroom Records.

Spanning 13 tracks, the project brings together a range of collaborators including Feid, The Chainsmokers, Julia Wolf, and others. The album reflects Summit’s artistic direction while drawing from multiple strands of electronic music.

“The album is about escaping the control of corporate life,” Summit explains. “But also about not being pigeonholed with a specific sound. The whole point of being an artist is being able to express myself in any single way.”

Across the record, Summit moves between tech house, drum and bass, and broader club influences, shaping a body of work designed for different environments, from large-scale stages to more intimate settings.

The focus track, ‘SHADES OF BLUE’ with Devault and Julia Church, highlights this direction, combining melodic elements with a driving low-end structure. The release follows a series of singles, including ‘LIGHTS GO OUT’, ‘CHICA 305’ with Feid, and ‘ALL THE TIME’ with The Chainsmokers.
