Robot Koch has announced the release of a new album under his Foam & Sand moniker titled ‘Quieter,’ scheduled for May 29th, 2026, on the Trees and Cyborgs label. The project will be supported by a spatial audio pop-up and UK listening premiere in late May, produced in collaboration with Polygon.
The album features a minimalist production style, utilizing analog synthesizers, live vibraphone, chimes, and bells. These elements were processed through tape to achieve a warm, saturated aesthetic. The recordings include contributions from vocalists Peia and Priscilla Ahn, as well as violinist Masha Brodskaya, focusing on subtle arrangements that emphasize space and restraint.
The release aligns with Koch’s ongoing work in music and medical research. His compositions are currently utilized in clinical studies regarding neural regulation and sound therapy, including partnerships with the Beckley Foundation and the Monroe Institute.
Koch is an award-winning producer known for his versatile output across electronic and ambient genres. Under Foam & Sand, he focuses on functional soundscapes designed for deep listening and nervous system regulation.
