Andy Ash returns with a new EP titled ‘When The Sunlight Comes’, out now via Departure Lounge Records.
The release marks a new chapter for the label, which has recently expanded beyond founder Brandon Pinel’s Ode to 97 alias to spotlight like-minded producers. Here, the focus shifts to the Liverpudlian artist, delivering a collection that balances melodic detail with club-ready intent.
The title track, ‘When The Sunlight Comes’, sets the tone with layered melodic motifs, bright synth work, and acid lines wrapped around a house groove. ‘Sunrise Acid’ follows with a more reflective edge, later reworked by Flabaire into a slower, acid-leaning electro interpretation. Elsewhere, ‘Deep Edge’ leans into a Hammond-led mid-tempo rhythm, while ‘3 Feet East’ offers a more direct, peak-time cut.
