Luke Slater is set to release a new Planetary Assault Systems full-length on Ostgut Ton titled ‘Planetary People’. The LP arrives on May 15th, 2026, marking the project’s first Ostgut Ton album since 2016’s ‘Arc Angel’. Ahead of the release, the track ‘Retina Burn’ is now available.

One of Berghain’s longest-serving residents, Slater has continued to shape the Planetary Assault Systems identity through industrial textures, polyrhythmic structures, and stripped-back techno functionality. According to Slater, the new album emerged gradually through a combination of live performance ideas, studio experimentation, and what he describes as “external signals and signs”.

Across thirteen tracks, ‘Planetary People’ explores shifting forms of tension and propulsion. Cuts like ‘Into The Night’, ‘Labyrinth’, and ‘Retina Burn’ move between acid pressure, tribal percussion, and distorted rave structures, while ‘Beton Brut’ and ‘Generation Slip’ lean into darker, more relentless territory. The digital edition also includes the bonus track ‘Presently My Soul Grew Stronger’.
