Crackazat has announced the release of his fourth studio album, ‘SUN,’ scheduled to arrive on May 15th, 2026, via Freerange Records. The project marks the producer’s first full-length return since 2021’s ‘Evergreen’ and represents his most collaborative work to date.

Recorded between Stockholm and New York, the album moves beyond solo production to feature a full ensemble of guest musicians. The record includes contributions from vocalists Eva Lazarus, Lyric Jones, Cap1talA, and Olivier St. Louis, alongside live instrumentation featuring horns, percussion, and drums.

The 13-track LP explores the intersection of jazz-funk, house, and soul. Tracks like ‘Promised Right’ and ‘Who’s Boss?’ emphasize live arrangements and 1970s influences, while ‘Shine’ maintains the artist’s roots in soulful house. The project seeks to bridge the gap between traditional musicianship and contemporary electronic production, drawing inspiration from the 1990s Brit-funk movement.

Crackazat has spent a decade establishing itself in the underground house scene. This latest release on Jimpster’s Freerange imprint signals an evolution toward a bandleader role, prioritizing live harmony and craft.
