Gorgon City have released their new remix of Basement Jaxx’s ‘Jump N Shout’, delivering an updated club version of the long-running dancefloor anthem through Toolroom.
The duo reshaped the original with rolling low-end pressure, crisp percussion, and a darker modern groove while preserving the vocal hooks and energy that made the track a staple in club culture. The remix follows Toolroom’s previous 2016 rework by Erik Hagleton, which remained a fixture in DJ sets for years after its release.
Known for balancing underground house textures with festival-ready production, Gorgon City bring a more contemporary edge to the record while maintaining the raw character of Basement Jaxx’s original version.
The release lands as another addition to Toolroom’s ongoing catalog of revisited club classics adapted for modern dancefloors.
