Trevor Dietz, manager of Fontaines D.C. and a longstanding presence in Dublin nightlife, has died at the age of 47.

The news was confirmed by the band on June 9th, 2026, via social media. “We are utterly heartbroken to let you know that on Sunday, June 7th, we lost our dear friend and manager, Trevor,” they wrote. The group described Dietz as “the sixth member of the band,” highlighting his role in their journey from the earliest stages of their career.

Dietz began working with Fontaines D.C. in 2018 and helped guide the band’s ascent from small independent and student venues to major international stages, including headline appearances at Reading & Leeds. During his time with the group, Fontaines D.C. earned two BRIT Awards and received nominations for the Mercury Prize and three Grammy Awards.

Before managing the band, Dietz was an influential figure in Dublin’s grassroots music community. As a booker at The Workman’s Club in the early 2000s, he championed emerging artists through live programming and club nights that became fixtures of the city’s nightlife.

Tributes have since been shared by artists and industry figures including Kneecap, Annie Mac, Sunil Sharpe, Krystal Klear, and David Holmes.
