Keinemusik brought the World Cup fever to Mexico City

Last Thursday, June 11th, was a historic day for Mexico City. Hours after the whistle blew at the Estadio Azteca to open the 2026 FIFA World Cup, another massive celebration was building across town. Thousands of football fans and music lovers traded their team jerseys for dancing shoes, heading straight to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the return of Keinemusik.

The energy in the capital was already at an all-time high, and &ME, Rampa, and Adam Port turned that football stadium energy into a beautiful, open-air dancefloor communion.

The AMENTAL and OCESA teams transformed the huge racetrack into a cozy space filled with local plants. Right above the DJ booth hung their famous giant ‘Kloud’ art piece, moving gently in the air.

As the sun went down, the sound system came alive. The bass was warm, clean, and tuned for the thousands of people who were packing the floor.

Before the German trio took over, local favorite and Funk Club resident MNTY  started the night with smooth sounds, followed by South African representative MASŠH, who continued to warm up the night. Both artists played brilliant selections of afro, organic, and house tracks that built the bridge between the afternoon’s World Cup euphoria and the electronic night ahead.

Then, it was Keinemusik’s turn. They who are experts at playing long sets didn’t start with fast beats or loud festival drops. Instead, they took their time, starting with deep, Afro-inspired rhythms that matched the local mood.

The musical journey was filled with standout tracks that the crowd rapidly recognized, including the  Rampa Remix of ‘Neverender’ by Justice and Tame Impala. The vocal melodies floating over the deep house beat felt perfect for the cooling night air.

The crowd completely lost it when the keys of ‘Thandaza’ dropped. This track, featuring Arabic Piano, brought a deep, spiritual feeling to the racetrack. Thousands of hands went up in the air as the vocal chanting echoed through the speakers.

Later on, they mixed in the unreleased tribal grooves of ‘Crazy for It,’ their collaboration with Boys Noize. The heavy drums kept everyone moving as the energy from the afternoon’s football matches finally boiled over onto the dancefloor.

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without Adam Port’s massive hit, ‘Move.’ When the familiar rhythm and vocals washed over the crowd, the entire venue exploded. It felt like a stadium celebrating a winning goal.

What makes Keinemusik special is their patience. They aren’t in a hurry. They let each song breathe and grow, offering the crowd the chance to stay in the moment and enjoy the transitions.

By the time the music stopped on Friday morning, everyone was exhausted but in a higher state of mind. Keinemusik proved that even as they play the biggest venues in the world, they haven’t lost their soul. For Mexico City, it was the perfect afterparty to a historic day, leaving a beautiful memory that people will talk about for the rest of the summer.
