New publication ‘The Book of Techno’ explores the evolution of the genre

Mark Petes-Varga has published ‘The Book of Techno’, a new paperback exploring the history and evolution of techno culture. The release is now available in paperback via Amazon.

Written as a historical overview of the genre, the book follows techno’s development from its early influences in the late 1960s through its emergence in Detroit and its expansion into a global movement. It also covers British rave culture, Spanish club culture, the rise of Berlin techno, and major international events, including Awakenings and Amsterdam Dance Event.

‘The Book of Techno’ also features material on key artists and figures connected to the genre’s evolution, including Juan Atkins, Richie Hawtin, Oscar Mulero, and others. According to the author, the book was created to provide a broader understanding of techno’s origins and to address common misconceptions around the genre.
