Kyle Watson has teamed up with Body Ocean for the release of ‘Are You The Same’, out now on his own imprint, No Context Records. The single serves as the first release from Watson’s forthcoming album project, which documents the creative process from initial ideas through to final mastering over 18 weeks.
The collaboration brings together Watson’s house-driven approach with Body Ocean, the project led by Jeremy Glenn. Blending soulful vocals, lush chords, shuffling rhythms, and bright synth motifs, ‘Are You The Same’ unfolds through a textured arrangement that balances melodic warmth with forward-looking production.
Speaking about the collaboration, Watson said: “Body Ocean have been pushing the boundaries of sound design in this scene for a while, and I’ve always been a fan of what they do. I couldn’t imagine a better collaboration to kick off this project.”
For Body Ocean, the release represents a milestone collaboration. “Kyle has been a big inspiration and influence, so to get the call-up to work on music together was amazing. And then to create ‘Are You The Same’, a song that captures so much feeling and is so expressive with Kyle was a dream,” the project shared.
