German producer Fejká has released his first original single on Colorize, titled ‘We Were There,’ featuring longtime collaborator Kim Van Loo. The track follows Fejká’s previous contributions to the label, including a 2023 remix of Klur’s ‘Apologue.’
The cut blends melodic house with cinematic textures, anchored by analogue production and steady rhythmic patterns. Van Loo provides vocal accompaniment, highlighting the creative chemistry the duo established while writing together during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
Fejká, originally from Germany’s Black Forest, gained prominence under the mentorship of Christian Löffler. His discography has garnered significant streaming numbers and led to international touring. Beyond his musical output, the artist maintains a consistent visual aesthetic for his project, rooted in his background as a trained filmmaker.
Following this release, Fejká is scheduled to perform as part of the upcoming Colorize North America tour in Toronto and New York.
