Carl Cox has contributed three original productions to the soundtrack for Andy Serkis’ new animated adaptation of George Orwell’s classic novella, ‘Animal Farm.’
The veteran British DJ and producer’s tracks titled ‘The Rogues,’ ‘Drone Farm,’ and ‘My Bunker My Party’ appear alongside an original score by composer Heitor Pereira on the official Lakeshore Records release.
“Music is my biggest voice. It’s not every day I get the chance to create music for a film, so contributing to the Animal Farm soundtrack for The Angel was something a little different.
I really enjoyed sitting down with Andy Serkis to talk about the project, the creative process, and why stepping into this world felt like a natural extension of my journey,” Cox commented on his social post.
Directed by Serkis, the animated film features a voice cast that includes Seth Rogen, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, and Woody Harrelson. Cox’s inclusion marks a notable venture into feature film scoring for the longtime techno artist.
