Kelly Kellam, a.k.a. Kellam, first got involved with dance music in New York City where he quickly became a fixture in the underground dance music scene and has rapidly gained acclaim internationally. He has most recently taken a role in Thailand at the W Retreat Koh Samui as the W Music Curator and resident DJ where he is programming the events there for 2015 in addition to regular tour dates. He also founded and curates Access Underground in 2015, a mix series on Mixcloud that has already received acclaim and had listeneres listen to over five million minutes on this channel.

His positive energy and knack for weaving together deep grooved melodic tracks has made him a rising star in the dance music world which has landed him bookings at some incredible festivals, warehouse parties, top clubs and events internationally; Most recently including the USA, Singapore, Germany and Morroco. He has also played regularly at top clubs around the US, including; Output(NY), Marquee(NY), Project LA(CA), Bardot(CA), Treehouse (Miami), Burning Man, and the infamous underground/afterhours club in NYC ‘Beef Cuts’.

Kellam’s dynamic sound ranges from warm sunrise sessions with a deep melodic groove, to dark funky grooved deep tech house whether it be a sunset on the beach, 3am in a warehouse, or a mellow sunrise, he will have you tuned into the moment with special selection of tunes that will capture and direct the vibe appropriately.

He constantly digs for tracks and integrates sounds that will always keep you moving & in a euphoric rhythmic groove. He tunes into the vibe and has a way of sculpting the energy of the room through his music selections and how he threads together a dynamic range of melodic and syncopated rhythms.

In the past two years he has shared the decks with many of the top tier DJs and producers including: Matthias Meyer, Max Cooper, Damian Lazarus, Seth Troxler, DJ Tennis, Behrouz, Bedouin, Claptone, Thugfucker, Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, Phonique, Bob Moses, Nico Stojan, Bill Patrick, Frank & Tony and many others.

He became entranced with DJing following a funk set he experienced at Burning Man several years ago. He has since become and avid Burner and runs the music curation one of the largest dance music amps on the Playa. He has been invited to play at many of the most popular and respected sound camps such as: Pink Mammoth, Distrikt, The Kasbah, Heart Phoenix, Robot Heart and Trifucta where he shares many incredible line ups. Kellam is also the music director at Camp Trifucta where he books and manages a line up of ver 70 DJs each year.

Although Kellam has only recently stepped into the arena of the underground dance music scene in the past 5 years, he is no stranger to music. He toured for several years as a singer / songwriter, playing venues such as the famous House of Blues many times, in addition to countless bars, festivals and concert venues across the country. This has served him incredibly well in his transition to being a DJ. He has an truly polished ability to read and feed off the audience and really capture and shape the vibe of where ever he is DJing. This is part of the reason why his popularity amongst crowds and dance floors has exploded. Playing in all kinds of situations has proven useful his ability to read the crowd and build the perfect vibe. He has since taken more international bookings and is being well received everywhere that he shares his talent. His club, warehouse party and afterhours residencies have informed his talent a great deal having regularly played beside some of the worlds best talent.
