AdMaiora signs up label debutant and good friend Andrea Giudice (Sola, NONSTOP) with the wicked ‘Funk With Me’ EP, which also sees the wonder boys of Proudly People (Elrow, Moon Harbour) for the first time on the label. Being a master of his own, Andrea is an Italian born and London based DJ and producer who’s always providing well-balanced club anthems, moving between hip-hop, jazz, old school house, and the most avant-garde tech house. His productions have been played many times by the likes of Marco Carola and Loco Dice among others. He’s also part of Our House collective in London, and you can easily catch him spinning some records at their home base Shoreditch Platform, Fabric or Village Underground.
Untitled ‘Funk With Me’ features the vocals of his partner in crime Durty Fresh and it’s an effortlessly cool and breezy house groover with edgy synths, infectious drums and a splash of extra dirty feels.
Up next is the more stripped back and techno-oriented ‘Musings’, a high octane track which kicks the things off with a punchy 909 drum pattern followed by tribal vocal samples, crazy rhythmic toms, and freaky synths, all together into a turbocharged dancefloor winner.
Closing the EP is the Proudly People’s version of ‘Funk With Me’, which features their typical intricate groovy approach full of bleeps, weird sounds and subtle effects creating a funky and percussive remix, giving new life to the already standout original.
