Angioma returns to ROOM FM’s in-house label Room Trax this October to deliver his ‘Brighten Up’ EP, backed by remixes from Ryan Crosson and Yulia Niko.
A firm fixture within Spain’s electronic music scene since its launch in 2016, Room FM has established itself as a central component within Barcelona’s ever-evolving house and techno landscape via its series of hillside and eventbased streams with the likes of Ilario Alicante, Eats Everything and Solardo over the past few months alone. Launched earlier this year, their brand new in-house imprint Room Trax also quickly caught the attention of many, with John Digweed, Hunter/Game and Animal Trainer to name just a few supporting the inaugural release from rising Barcelonabased talent and station regular Angioma, and the second release on the label now sees the French artist return to deliver two fresh original productions in the form of his ‘Brighten Up’ EP, accompanied by remixes from Visionquest’s Ryan Crosson and fellow emerging talent Yulia Niko.
Title cut ‘Brighten Up’ opens the package, welcoming a series of rich chords amongst jacking percussion and dubbed out synth swirls, before Yulia Niko’s remix accents the original productions bright stabs with skipping hats and a groove heavy bassline. Next up, ‘Sparkled’ ups the energy with further bright stabs laid over deep and resonant kicks, whilst Ryan Crosson’s interpretation strips things back and lays the focus on swinging drum arrangements and slick, subtle dubbed out pads. For those purchasing the digital package, Angioma offers up a third original cut in ‘Rays’, revealing a sun soaked closing effort rich in organic percussion licks and bubbling lead melodies. Angioma ‘Brighten Up’ EP is out on Room Trax on 4th October 2019.
Release date: October 4th, 2019.
