After several shows outside Colombia and being away from the recording studios, the electronic duo: REX & LYDA met on their third tour of Mexico with ROSSELL, a great friend and ally, with whom in addition to sharing some days of Tacos, Tequila and lots of partying in Mexico City, they met in the recording studio to collaboratively produce the song “NASTY FUNK.”
“NASTY FUNK” is a hymn to pride and diversity that invites to an inclusive party, without prejudice, that is born from the bowels of the classic “beat” House, and the pumping bass of the Disco Funk, with mexican guitars and “groove” of FILIZOLA. Its lyrics in English and Spanish invite you to a night of “madness”, dance and seduction, perfect for summer.
“NASTY FUNK” reaches all digital platforms under the support of SOVIETT RECORDS, (Saint Petersburg based Russian music label) who found in Latin American artists the “Caliente” sound, to be part of their important catalog. In an EP format, this release includes the Original version and additionally 4 remixes made by Mexicans Menno Knight and Filizola, the talented Colombians girls You Know Who, and experienced Producer and DJ Rex Goske, in which the song is reinterpreted in genres like the “Soul House”, “Tech House” “Deep” and “Indie Dance” opening the musical spectrum to explode the dance floor.
