After his brilliant contribution to the Black Circle Vol 1 various artist EP, we welcome Balata back on our label with an amazing 2 track Afro House EP called Pour Toi.
The first track is called ‘Je Plane’ in English I am high. Balata kicks it off with a strong kick and layered timbales that support the kick softly in the background. A progressing synthline melody, percussion and special FX move the track forward until a very deep bass is introduced. With noise FX the song gets to its first break where it builds up tension. Released by percussive elements like shakers and drums that build the groove of the track. The main break features a spacey synth melody progression leading the track to its second part. A real progressive and powerful modern approach on Afro House. This track can be played to build up your Afro House set or also nicely used in a progressive house set.
Pour-Toi feat. Ana Mago commences with a great percussive intro of deep toms, shakers, softer kick and a snare that set up an amazing groove right from the start. An underlying synth piano chord line, percussive echoes and synth riser as well as timbale FX and a very deep pumping sub bass and bassline make this one a dubby, progressive groovy kind of a track. Anna Mago‘s wonderful, sexy French female vocals give the track a sensitive and romantic meaning Pour-Toi – For you. A great melodic progressive Afro House piece of art Balata created here.
