D.J. MacIntyre’s Spacewalk Remix of FreakyBro’s Enceladus lets the synths shine in their complex and beautiful interplay. Vocal snippets from NASA’s Gemini IV mission (during which Ed White became the first American astronaut to do a spacewalk) give the track an aura of exploration as well as danger.
Stars, planets, galaxies, and other heavenly bodies are the points of light that humans have connected through story to create the constellations. SLC-6 Music’s ‘Points of Light’ series is home to music that was initially presented in the ‘Constellations’ DJ mix compilation series, but which was unavailable individually until now.
In addition to remixes that appeared on the Gemini and Crux episodes, D.J. MacIntyre tuned up his remix of FreakyBro’s Enceladus offering an ambient “Spacewalk” version along with a retooled breakbeat “Gemini IV” version specifically for the release of Points of Light: 03.
