Jane’s Addiction and Porno For Pyros frontman Perry Farrell released a retrospective collection that features 68 songs. The material, called ‘The Glitz; The Glamour’, contains songs that he has done as a solo artist. In this box set, Farrell also presents ‘The Glitz; The Glamour (Remixes)’, an LP featuring remixed versions by Maceo Plex, UNKLE, Solomun, Groove Armada, Francois K, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Booka Shade, Guy Gerber, Moscoman, and more.
It is a box set made in collaboration with the artist Zoltar that, in addition to 9 vinyl records, contains a Blu-ray with 12 uncompressed Dolby Atmos mixes from his latest solo album ‘Kind Heaven’, and three unpublished Atmos mixes, a book of photographic memories, a handkerchief and two engravings by Zoltar.
‘In 1991 I was in London performing with my band Jane’s Addiction. At that time, I was introduced to the modern sounds of house music. Developing a tremendous passion for the sound and contributing to the culture. May our eyes meet on the dance floor’, said Farrell regarding the remixes LP.
Between rhythms and grooves, you can listen to everything from alternative rock to various artistic explorations that characterize Perry and explore previously unreleased recordings from 1985 to 2001.
