Kraftwerk to be inducted into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2021

This is the 6th time the German outfit has been nominated.

Pioneering electronic group Kraftwerk has been recognized by the Rock Hall after having been nominated on several occasions. According to their profile, the band is credited with ‘having established the blueprint for modern electronic music.’

Kraftwerk are entirely unique – they have produced Number One chart success with their song ‘The Model’ and were invited to perform at MoMA [New York’s Museum Of Modern Art] and the Tate Modern for their contributions to avant-garde art,’ the statement continues.

For this year’s edition, Kraftwerk will be joined by Carole King, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, the Foo Fighters, and Tina Turner at the 36th Rock Hall induction ceremony, which will take place October 30th.

The official announcement of Kraftwerk’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction almost a year after the death of co-founder Florian Schneider.
