If you love house music and good techno thumping, there is not much possibility you have missed out on the vital years and progression of the prolific Italian duo, M.F.S: Observatory. Hailing from the beautiful Naples, now UK based, they draw influence from their eccentric surroundings, letting elements from both places breathe in their sound.
Recent times have seen the M.F.S: guys turn out releases on essential labels such as Relief Records, Food Music, and ViVa. Well deserved feats for such hard-working producers. Somehow between frequent long studio sessions and playing gigs they manage to steer the ship of their Observatory Music imprint, which features releases from themselves and carefully selected friends and fellow producers.
The duo’s latest offering and MTWAT label debut is peak time stripped-down techno, with a nod to the 90’s Chicago sound as well as German warehouse banging craftsmanship. ‘It’s True’ rolls forward with a dreamy vocal and thumping drums, and ‘Rolling’ keeps it jackin and very dance floor focused all the way through.
