The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), one of the world’s leading festivals and business conferences for electronic music, is set to launch its 2024 edition with four official opening concerts.

The opening concerts will unfold in iconic Amsterdam locations. The Van Gogh Museum will host an intimate, unplugged performance by Dutch singer-songwriter Eefje de Visser. At the vast Door Open Space warehouse, audiovisual artist Nick Verstand will collaborate with Cello Octet Amsterdam, presenting COCON II—a captivating interplay between musicians and robotic arms creating dynamic light sculptures.

Bimhuis will feature a collaboration between free jazz vocalist Greetje Bijma and electronic artist Oceanic, followed by a live set from London-based producer LUXE. The opening series will culminate at Melkweg with a tribute to hip-hop producer J Dilla, featuring the Metropole Orkest and multi-instrumentalist Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.

These opening concerts pave the way for the festival’s full lineup, showcasing over 300 artists—from industry titans to emerging talents.  As ADE evolves, it remains at the forefront of the electronic music industry, offering premier networking opportunities, cutting-edge performances, and a platform for shaping the future of music.

From October 16–20, 2024, ADE will transform the Dutch city into a global hub of electronic music, hosting over 1,000 events across more than 200 venues citywide. The festival’s expansive program and carefully curated lineup showcase its commitment to the full spectrum of electronic music genres and subcultures.
