The new version is out now via Perspectives Digital.
Italian duo Aki Bergen & Richter have unveiled their latest outing as they breathe new life into a timeless classic, as the pair took on ‘Children’, by Robert Miles. Available since last Friday, March 12th, the new version was published by Darin Epsilon’s Perspectives Digital.
Speaking to Electronic Groove about this new feat and the creative process behind this new take, the duo said: ‘We usually let ourselves be carried away by the inspiration of the moment and follow our instincts. We believe it is nice to have all the options available so as not to limit our creativity. ‘Children’ is a beautiful classic that takes us back to our adolescence and that we have always loved. But the success of the original does not create any kind of anxiety or expectation in us: we simply tried to reinterpret it in the most personal way possible’.
‘We didn’t plan anything, it all started spontaneously and naturally. The first time we heard ‘Children’ we thought it represented the goal of the journey started by producers like Roland Brant and Gianni Parrini. In Italy, Mediterranean progressive was very popular in those years: it reminds us of our evenings in clubs when we were not yet professional DJs / producers’, they concluded, reminiscing about their first contacts with Miles’ classic.
