A new imprint, superfine, run by Alex Cecil and Alexis Maragkos, is set to launch on November 14th, 2025. The debut release, ‘Attraction’ by Marc DePulse & SNYL, includes a remix by Shubostar.
Positioning itself as a genre-fluid platform, superfine aims to explore the intersection of house, techno, disco, and beyond — blending contrast and cohesion under one creative vision. The launch single combines DePulse’s underground credentials with Shubostar’s distinct remix approach, offering a first glimpse into the label’s musical direction.
To mark the occasion, superfine will host its first showcase during Amsterdam Dance Event in October, offering an early introduction to the label’s sound and ethos.
Behind the project are Alex Cecil, resident DJ and founder of Burning Man’s Miki Beach soundcamp, and Alexis Maragkos, founder of the AIONIA collective. With roots in global dance communities, the duo brings a curatorial focus shaped by both experience and vision. Their approach is grounded in collaboration and quality — as reflected in the label’s name, which recalls early definitions of refinement, rarity, and artistic intent.
