Following the release of his 2023 LP ‘Dream Sequence’, Chicago-based producer Alex Kislov returns with a bold reimagining of his album via a 10-track remix compilation. Titled ‘Dream Sequence: The Remixes’, the new release is out now via DistroKid.
Curated by Kislov himself, the album features contributions from Terry Golden, RJ Pickens, Arvi Mala, COFRESI, Mattheo, Side Project, Ivano Lima, Xeibo, and John Lyn. Each rework reshapes the originals through distinctive sonic lenses, weaving through Afro house, progressive house, tech house, future bass, and melodic techno.
“It was a way to reignite a sequence of dreams, but this time from a different angle,” shares Kislov. “Each artist really captured the essence of the theme of the album and made it their own.”
From Terry Golden’s euphoric take on ‘Nocturne’ to Arvi Mala’s brooding, rhythmic rework of ‘Tales’, the compilation delivers a wide-ranging journey.
