AlphaTheta has introduced the RMX-IGNITE, a new hardware effector aimed at elevating live DJ performance. Over a decade after the release of the widely used RMX-1000, this updated unit is now available worldwide.
Built for club settings, livestreams, and video, RMX-IGNITE combines a redesigned interface with a range of sound-shaping tools. DJs can manipulate audio using three large levers and knobs that control a 3-Band FX section, allowing dynamic, frequency-specific processing. The unit features six Lever FX (Echo, Reverb, Juggle, Reverse, Solo, Stretch) and six Isolate FX (Tape Echo, Drive, Filter, Ducker, and more), all of which can be combined for detailed, real-time control.
A new sampler section expands creative possibilities with 20 preloaded samples from Loopcloud and support for custom sounds via USB or PRO DJ LINK. A Groove Roll function allows DJs to layer expressive fills and build-ups, while dedicated Sampler Color FX offer immediate transformation of textures with just one knob.
RMX-IGNITE includes a multicolor display, digital send/return for compatible mixers, and high-grade audio components such as 32-bit ESS converters and a 96 kHz/64-bit DSP. According to AlphaTheta, the device was tuned through real-world club testing to preserve clarity and natural dynamics during intense performance use.
