Chris Haddon, a local to Amsterdam for 16 years, DJ, and founder of Casa Productions, has hosted events in the city since 2018. After an eventful ADE, he’s back with his next event on November 18th, 2023 with the legendary British DJ and producer Danny Howells.
Back in the day, Haddon was a drummer in a rock band and toured around the UK. He eventually moved on and found a career in IT, but when music is in your blood, it never leaves you. He eventually found electronic music, and it became his new passion.
After eleven years in the Dutch city, Chris decided it was time to put on his own parties. He felt that there was an abundance of DJs who never got booked to play in Amsterdam, and he wanted to give them a chance to play, alongside local talent that would create a beautiful flow of music.
He began throwing progressive nights at the former Club NL with the likes of Anthony Pappa, Nicolas Rada, and Darren Emerson, just to name a few. Unfortunately, Club NL closed this past June, but party plans continued as he was preparing for his biggest ADE yet where he hosted the Ritter Butzke x Perspectives Digital ADE boat party headlined by Einemusik and the Selador Records party, headlined by Dave Seaman, Steve Perry, Danny Howells, Quivver, and locals Paul Sparks and Miss Melera.
Chris also DJs himself and aside from his own events, you can also find him at Amsterdam’s Most Wanted where he played a quality progressive set during ADE, proving he knows what he is doing both as a DJ and a promoter.
Chris does it for the passion of it, not for the money, and that is key to creating intimate parties for just a few hundred people with big headlining DJs. He keeps the ticket price low at just 15 Euros so the parties are affordable for everyone, with the aim of creating a friendly atmosphere where everyone is there for the love of the music.
He strives to make every event different by pairing new headliners up with different local DJs, so they can get the opportunity to play amongst industry favourites and the parties stay fresh with little repetition.
Luckily, shortly after the closure of the beloved Club NL, Club Roots opened to give a new home to Casa Productions events, with the first party this year happening on November, 18th with the legendary Danny Howells and another in the works for December.
