1. Link – Amenity (1992)
“It’s one of my favorite records that has certainly influenced me artistically from the very beginning with its magical, warm synths/pads and ethereal melodies. It’s a powerful piece of electronic music!”
2. CJ Bolland – New Life (1993) R&S Records
“I play a lot of records from R&S, and ‘New Life’ is definitely one of my favorites. I still play it, and the result is explosive! With its powerful bassline and super engaging drums, it can make even the dead dance! I believe that the techno records from that era sound much better than a lot of current music.”
3. Unfinished Portraits – High
“It’s impossible to resist and stay still when you hear this record! It’s one of those tracks that never misses in my set.”
4. DJ Fucci & Jensen Interceptor – Pistolón
“It’s a record that transports me to a Latin world, and its textured synths make me travel far away.”
5. Danny Wabbit – Don’t F*** With My Energy
“It’s a record that I play a lot, especially in clubs. It has an incredibly engaging energy thanks to its super dynamic groove and vocals that are impossible not to sing along to! I often play it at festivals as well, and I love feeling the vibe it creates.”
6. Ferdinger – Second Nature
“Surely, it’s a track with a powerful energy that takes you far away, whether you’re dancing to it or just listening. But at a certain point, a magical pad comes in and elevates the journey to an even higher level! There’s no denying it; I’m addicted to pads.”
7. Mark Broom – 909 Work
“When you want to break the journey and leave the audience stunned (in a positive way), what could be better than the powerful and dynamic rhythms of the 909? This track does its job perfectly!”
8. Sole Dosi – The Abyss Blooms
“It’s a record that was recently released on my label NSDA, but I’ve been playing it for a long time. It’s one of my absolute favorites. For me, it’s the perfect blend of techno and trance in a track! It’s truly an essential record.”
9. Anfisa Letyago – Rosso Profondo (No Gravity Edit)
“It’s one of the records I play the most. There’s also the original version, but when I made this edit, I completely fell in love with it. I’ll play it until I stop being a DJ, which means forever!”
10. AFX – .942937
“Aphex never misses with me, both in my sets and when I’m in the studio. He’s an artist I’ve always drawn inspiration from. ‘942937’ is a unique record; it doesn’t have a bassline, and I say: it doesn’t need one! It’s beautiful, elegant, and engaging, super dynamic, and has that touch of melancholy thanks to the pad that transports you to another dimension! I often close my set with this track; it leaves a very deep impact.”
