Featuring music by Sebastian Mullaert, Anfisa Letyago, Gerd Janson, and more.
Armada Music has linked up with Michelin star restaurant The Jane in Antwerp for a unique album project. Together with the team of The Jane (a two Michelin-star establishment), Armada Music spent an entire day at the restaurant capturing field recordings that would later fuel sonic creations, ‘representing a microclimate of the locked doors experienced both in music and food’.
The end result is a breathtaking compilation featuring music by Gerd Janson, Anfisa Letyago, Sebastian Mullaert, Durante, Eelke Kleijn, Marino Canal, Maxim Lany, Lyke, and Sue Avenue, revolving around the samples recorded at The Jane.
In addition, Armada Music and The Jane have also created a mini-documentary series about the project. The first installment of the series features commentary by Nick Bril (chef & owner of The Jane) and Gerd Janson.
The album ‘en:close – The Sound Of The Jane’ will be out on May 13th. You can check out ‘en:close – The Sound Of The Jane – Episode 1’ below, and learn more about the project here.
