ÄTNA, the duo from Dresden, is back with a powerful, synth-driven new single entitled ‘Major Love.’ This release adds to the anticipation of their upcoming LP, which is set to drop this autumn.
‘Major Love’ is a testament to the duo’s creativity, driven by lush and soft synths that weave through the track. Reflecting on their journey, the artists shared, “After our appearance at the SXSW Festival in Austin, we embarked on a road trip through neglected areas of America that had been left to languish as a result of natural disasters. We spontaneously decided to stay and learn more about the people and their history. With the oyster diver, we finally decided to shoot a live video on the open sea in front of a “graveyard” of abandoned oil rigs. We’ve always enjoyed shooting one-shot videos of our live performances, but this one was the most challenging in the blazing sun and the dizzying rocking of the fishing boat!!”
While often associated with Berlin’s musical scene, Inéz and Demian remain loyal to Dresden, where their partnership began. This distance from Germany’s major music hubs has allowed them to preserve their sound. Their previous albums, ‘Made By Desire’ and ‘Push Life,’ marked a departure from traditional German pop.
